In Buddhism, and especially Zen Buddhism, refers to suddenly finding an answer to a question that one has been asking for some time, but that has become more and more elusive as time goes on. There are several levels of realization, the most common being the situation where realization is achieved through a sight, a sound or a touch that stimulates ultimate seeing, ultimate hearing or ultimate touch. When realization occurs, the answer to the long held question suddenly appears as if it exists in front of our eyes.
